About Us

The Scottish International Tuba Festival is a week-long intensive course and collection of performances held at St Mary's Music School in Edinburgh. The purpose of the festival is to help educate aspiring tuba players on new ways of thinking about their craft, to connect players from different backgrounds who will help each other learn, and to promote the tuba by engaging with the wider community in unique performances and venues. The ultimate goal of the course is to create positive career pathways in a variety of genres, styles, and directions, providing support and advice along the way to help participants reach their goals. There are many ways to pursue a career as a tuba player, and we aim to explore the variety of paths a tubist can take. Come join us by applying to be a participant, or by coming to one of our many concerts. Slanj!
